Creature in the Night

Creature in the Night:

I awoke from my slumber and was amazed to see

A creature who was not scaring me but drinking a cup of tea.

My body froze as I stared at this creature standing at the stove

She was sitting in my dark kitchen with her eyes aglow.

Her ears had spaghetti like hairs coming out of each

The color of her exterior was also the color of a peach.

She does not like the light and stays out of sight

The rattle of her loud roar when she was under lamp made her grow in height.

I waited to approach this six foot tall creature no older than thirteen

She had four eyes a big nose and the whitest teeth I have ever seen.

She was round but muscular in size

If I was at a carnival she would be the winning prize.

She did not have flowing hair, eyelashes or even eyebrows

But did have green spots all over her body just like a cow.

As I approached this creature of the night my mouth felt dry

She had only one leg but three arms and seemed a bit shy.

When she moved her body bent over on all three

She could run fast and even climb the highest of the trees.

Her claws were long and sharp

She was always smiling, eating and she can even play the harp!

I was having a blast with this creature but the sun was coming up and she needed to hide

Before she left I climbed on top for a early morning ride.

I know I will see my new friend again in the darkness of the night

I will protect her from everything with all of my might.
